Crystals & Children

Our children come into this earth with a instinctual affinity for mother nature. Children thrive when they are given time to spend outdoors and their brains are programmed to require that stimulation so that neural pathways to their senses are created. The many shades of green are noted and a “nature baby” can distinguish each one.

My three year old is constantly sneaking her way into my office and sacred spaces where my crystals live and every so often I will find one hidden away under her pillow or in her favorite purse.

I have found that children usually have a very strong connection with their intuition and although they may not always be able to tell you how they are feeling, when you present them with crystals – they know which ones they need.

If you are curious about what crystals could be beneficial for children, consider the following:

Amethyst: this powerful crystal can help to release any negativity, provide support through transitions and encourage rest.

Rose Quartz: this gentle stone can help teach about compassion and unconditional love.

Citrine: this crystal can help instill confidence and maintain the child’s ability to clearly manifest.

Jade: this crystal can help keep the inspiration alive in a child while ensuring their emotions are not overwhelming.

Hematite: this stone can be used to help a child ground themselves and to create a safe and protected space around them.

Carnelian: confidence, focus and concentration are associated with this stone which can be helpful for our kids.

Green Apatite: this crystal can help the growth and transformation of your child.

Blue Lace Agate: this beautiful stone can help with feelings of calm and peace. It can help our children connect with their inner wisdom as they go out into the world.

Red Jasper: this bright stone can help provide our little ones with courage and help them to release worries that they have been storing.

Clear quartz: this universal crystal can assist with clarity and resonance. You can set an intention with this crystal and use it to help amplify it to manifest your child’s desires.

You may find it helpful to place crystals that promote rest in their bedroom, or crystals to promote focus in their backpack. If your child needs a reminder of how special they are, a bracelet, necklace or touchstone in their pocket can be a supportive gift.

Tumbled stones are usually the best bet as they will withstand more wear and tear and are less likely to scratch or snag clothing.

Ensure your child never swallows a crystal and that they are safely used :). Remind your child to care for their crystals  and to set them in the sun or moonlight when they feel called to for clearing.

Also, a friendly reminder to let them take part in the selection process :). We can learn a lot from our little ones.

Love and light,

Lisa

My son’s favorite crystal is Lapis Lazuli. I have no idea why, but from the first time he ever grabbed one of my crystals, that’s what it was. He has his very own now. He is 9 and loves to make sure they’re charged.

I just made myself a tutquise, jade (green), carnelian, rose quartz and togets eye. This made me happy. It helped heal the child within and took away nerve pain that even my heavy meds couldn’t touch!

    Blessings, Light & Love

I agree that children instinctively love all things of nature. I have found that the children who enter my home are all drawn to my crystals and usually end up leaving with a tumbled stone they like. More recently I had a 3 year old girl who came to visit with her aunt and I showed her some of the tumbled stones. I picked out a tumbled rose quartz and handed it to her because the girls who have visited in the past always love rose quartz and amethyst. As we were about to leave the room, she reached out and took a tumbled green aventurine piece and said “this one.” I looked at it and it was shaped like a heart. She knew just what she needed! My own young adult children tell me that they can feel an energy shift when they enter my office which is where the majority of my crystals are at. I just love working with them myself and often gift them to others to share the great energy of them. I have learned so much through your courses, I really enjoyed and gained so much knowledge from the Crystal Reiki course. Thank you Lisa for all that you do in sharing your knowledge with others. Bright blessings to you

Thank you for all your courses! I enjoy them all and my daughter loves them too! She is 9 and helps me make oil blends. She has her own crystals and has been reading about the history of reiki

My 11 Year old son’s favourite is smokey quartz. Before that there was a moonstone bracelet and pendant. He wore them all the time. And for about a month: there is the smokey quartz. 🙂
