11 Clarifying Questions to Manifest What You Want

Every year I have had a tradition where I align with a new word for the year that will help me stay clear and focused on what it is I want to create. Words like abundance, balance, self-care, healing, growth etc. ensure when I am making decisions and planning my time that I stay aligned.
Interestingly, every year I ask my Father what his word will be and his response is always “I don’t know.” Have you ever been in a place in your life where you don’t even know what you want?
Take heart, this is exciting because you are starting fresh. This is a powerful place because if you are intentional, you can create whatever you choose rather than living your life on auto-pilot.
So, how do you get clear on what it is you actually want? It all starts with asking yourself questions.
Clarity can come through questioning your higher self. The physical act of using a journal to help you ask and answer questions is helpful to keep a record of things you want and are focused on actively manifesting.
So many of us do not realize the power we have to change our situations. Sometimes we may be unhappy with what we have but never take the time to ask ourselves what we truly want, nor realize we already have the power to get it.
Asking Questions Releases You from Being Stuck
Asking questions of yourself also helps you understand not only what you want and need, but also get to the deeper root of why you want it. If you go through a series of questions, you will uncover what in your heart of hearts you wish to have, which will help you manifest it.
Sometimes what we think we want, is actually not at all what our heart desires.
Has that ever happened to you? You finally reach that milestone you have been pushing to achieve and once there you realize it is not what you thought it would be? Having achieved that dream, you don’t feel the way you thought you would?
There is nothing wrong with asking for what you want and taking physical action to get what you want, if you do the inner work as well.
It is so helpful to use questions with key life areas that you want to change. These life areas can include:
- Love and Relationships
- Money and Finances
- Work and Career
- Spirituality
- Family
- Health
- Personal Development
What Questions to Ask to Gain Clarity on What You Want to Manifest
Here are a series of questions you can ask for any of your life areas to gain more clarity around what you want. Typically, the questions begin with who, what, when, and how. These are used to help you dig deeper into your why.
- What do I want?
- What do I feel is the best thing for me right now?
- What am I committed to doing?
- What do I feel I need?
- Who can give this to me?
- Who can I ask for help?
- Who can I partner with to allow this to happen?
- When do I want this to happen?
- When do I feel I can take steps to make this happen?
- How do I see this happening?
- How can this work for me?
Journal Your Answers to These Questions
If you aren’t sure where to start when it comes to your dreams and goals, asking questions helps your energy to become clear for your conscious mind. Once you have started answering a question, allow yourself to free write anything that comes to mind.
Use your journal to write the answers to these questions in any life area you want to focus on. I would recommend asking each question for each life area at least once a year. As you journal your thoughts and feelings on your answers to these questions, your higher self has the opportunity to step in and you will gain the clarity you need with what you want to manifest.
Taking the time to reflect on all areas of your life at least once a year can help you see the bigger picture in your life. Perhaps you want to run your own business so you have more control you’re your time. Maybe you want to spend more quality time with your family. Possibly, you want to dedicate more time to self-care. Everything in your life is connected.
Then daily, a powerful question to ask yourself as you begin your day is: “what would fuel my soul today?” Be open, receptive and listen. Do your best to follow that spark.
I would love to hear how this process works for you.
In warmth,
Lisa
